Please share a memory of Stephen to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Stephen J. Morgiewicz of Warwick, NY, entered into eternal rest surrounded by his loving family on Friday, March 15, 2013. He was 65. The son of the late Stanley & Sophie Pikul Morgiewicz, he was born July 2, 1947 in Goshen, NY. He was a retired truck driver at Roadway Express for 36 years. He was also a self-employed produce farmer. He was a proud member of the Teamsters - Local 445, an active member of the Southeastern Beekeepers Club, and a lifelong parishioner of St. Stanislaus R.C. Church. Steve was a one of a kind man. He loved people and talking to them. He always had a handshake, a "Hey, how are you doing?" , and a smile. He could strike up a conversation with anyone about anything. If you had to go someplace, he could tell you how to get there without a map and he could tell you every sign, crossroad, and diner along the way. He loved farming and grew beautiful vegetables. Seeing the morning dew on his bushels of spinach, the size of his butternut squash, his rows of lettuce made his day. After retiring from Roadway, he took up the hobby of beekeeping. He loved his bees and if you had a "minute" he would tell you all about it. God called him home to Heaven because He needed a farmer. He will be deeply missed by all. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Mary Jane Krawcyk Morgiewicz at home, in Warwick, NY; son Stephen J. Morgiewicz Jr. and his wife Kristie of Goshen, NY; daughter Jessica Morgiewicz-Sauka and her husband James of Florida, NY; daughter Justine Lysack and her husband Keith of Florida, NY; grandson Matthew Morgiewicz; granddaughter Faith Sauka; and grandson Jameson Sauka. Survivors also include his sister Eileen Morgiewicz of Waltham, MA; sister Susan Wierzbicki of Chester, NY; sister Janice Morgiewicz of Florida, NY; sister Rosanne Morgiewicz of Malibu, CA; brother Ralph Morgiewicz of Florida, NY; sister Joyce Ingram of Los Angeles, CA; brother Gary Morgiewicz of Warwick, NY; and brother Stanley Morgievich of Randolph, NJ; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Paul and his sister Karen. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 18, 2013 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at the T.S.
