Obituary of Richard Nash

Richard J. "Dick" Nash of Warwick, NY, entered into rest on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at home. He was 86. The son of the late Dr. Willard Nash & Genevieve Jennings Nash, he was born on August 12, 1926 in Souchou, China. He was a WWII & Korean Navy veteran where he served as a Pharmacist Mate. He was a car enthusiast and many other hobbies. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Maria Butenkoff Nash; 2 daughters, Cathy Rudy & husband Gary; Diane DeFreest & husband Daryl; 3 Grandchildren, Katie Rudy & fiancé Pete Tomczak; Danielle De Freest & Matt Marvullo; and David DeFreest. He also leaves behind many dear friends. Predeceased by his grandson, Richard Jacob Rudy and his brother, Wilson Nash. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 4th from 11AM – 12:30PM at the T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 22 Glenmere Avenue, Florida, NY 10921. The Warwick American Legion will conduct services at 12noon. Funeral services will be held 12:30PM, Saturday, May 4th at the funeral home. Burial will be held privately. The family would like to thank Dr. Shah for all his care and support.
