Obituary of Helen Romanowski

Helen Romanowski of Florida, NY, entered into rest on Sunday, May 26, 2013 at home. She was 69. The daughter of Stanislawa Zawistowska Bocian & the late Eugeniusz Bocian, she was born on January 5, 1944 in Myslibory, Poland. Helen passed away unexpectedly yet peacefully in her sleep. She adored her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her greatest attribute was to always protect and unify her family. Her love extended beyond her family to all her coworkers and residents at The Valley View Rehabilitation Center. She spent her final days caring for her beloved husband and mother. Her kindness touched everyone that knew her. She will always be remembered for her beauty and impeccable style and grace with which she carried herself. She is survived by her husband Adam Romanowski at home, Florida, NY; her mother, Stanislawa Bocian at home; daughter, Dorota El Nagar & husband Mohamed of Florida, NY; Halina McLean & husband Alistair of New Hampton, NY; Adam Romanowski Jr. & wife Beata of Florida, NY; 7 Grandchildren; Monika Tyminski, Darek Tyminski & wife Nicole; Robert Dagele Jr., Daniel Dagele, Angelina El Nagar, Jakub & Lukas Romanowski. 1 Great grandson, Matthew VanHage Jr.; Brother, Steve Bocian of Clifton, NJ; Several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9PM at the T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 22 Glenmere Avenue, Florida, NY 10921. A funeral mass will be held 10AM on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at St. Joseph Church, 20 Glenmere Avenue, Florida, NY 10921. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Florida, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Church, 14 Glenmere Avenue, Florida, NY 10921 where the family requests flowers to be used year round in her memory due to her love of flowers.
