John Balacky Jr. of Florida, NY a chef at Elant in Goshen entered into rest on August 12, 2013 at his home. He was 52 .
The son of the John and Hedwig Makowski Balacky was born December 24, 1960 .
John was a US Army Veteran having served in the 82nd Airborne Division, as well a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America.
Survivors include his wife Lori A. Sekel Balacky at home; 2 daughters Alissa and Caryn Balacky at home; his parents John and Hedwig Balacky; 1 sister Deborah Davis; and 2 nieces Jennifer and Lisa.
Visitation will be held on Thursday August 15 from 9 am – 11am at T.S. Purta Funeral Home 22 Glenmere Ave. Florida, NY 10921 .
Funeral Mass will be held 11 :30 am on Thursday at St. Stephens Church Sanfordville Rd. Warwick, NY .
Burial will be in Orange County Veterans Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to a charity of one's choice.
