Obituary of Helen T. Brancaccio

Helen T. Brancaccio, entered into rest on Saturday September 21, 2013 at Valley View Center, Goshen, NY. She was 92. The daughter of the late John & Theola Molenska Kozlowski, she was born on May 9, 1921 in Goshen, NY. She was a member of St. Joseph's R.C. Church, Florida, NY and St. Joseph's Living Rosary Society. "Mom was a woman of strong character who always put her family, friends and neighbors first. Her work ethic and her commitment to anything she undertook was second to none. Having been orphaned at the age of three she took it upon herself to still nurture a relationship with her siblings. Her love of her church, her community and her family will always be remembered by all who knew and loved her." Survivors include her daughter: Jo Medlar and husband, David of Goshen, NY; Sons; John Brancaccio and wife, Kathleen of Goshen, NY; Jim Brancaccio of Florida, NY; 3 grandsons: John & Jason Brancaccio and David Medlar; sister-in-law Stephanie Kozlowski and several nieces & nephews. She was pre-deceased by her husband John "John the Barber" Brancaccio, 1 son; Joseph Brancaccio; 5 Brothers; Thomas Molenski, Stanley, Walter, Valentine & Joseph Kozlowski; and her sister, Mary Masty of Fairfield, NJ. Helen's family would like to extend their thanks to the staff at Valley View for the wonderful care and compassion they provided her and her family. Visitation will be held Monday September 23, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the T.S. Purta Funeral Home 22 Glenmere Ave., Florida, NY 10921. Funeral mass will be held 10 am on Tuesday September 24, 2013 at St. Joseph's Church, 20 Glenmere Ave. Florida, NY. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Florida, NY.
