Patrick M. Moriarty of Florida, NY, entered into rest on Wednesday, October 15, 2014. He was 79. The son of the late Patrick Moriarty & Mary Cahill Moriarty, he was born March 12, 1935 in Bronx, NY. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Jacqueline Moriarty; daughter, Patricia Moriarty-Boles; 2 grandsons, Ryan and Sean Boles; 2 brothers, Kevin and Daniel Moriarty; Uncle, Michael Cahill and his wife Jean; Several nieces, nephews & cousins. He was predeceased by his son, Dennis Moriarty and daughter, Eileen Moriarty. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18th from 12-12:45PM at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 22 Glenmere Avenue, Florida, NY 10921. Funeral mass will be held 1PM Saturday, October 18th at St. Joseph Church, Florida, NY. The Reverend Bernard P. Heter will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Florida, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 2 Jefferson Plaza, Suite 103, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601-4027, American Cancer Society, PO Box 7, East Syracuse, NY 13057 or to the American Heart Association, 491 East Main Street, Suite 309, Middletown, NY 10940. The family would like to thank the staff of the Valley View Center and to the staff of Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties for their exceptional care they gave to Paddy.
