Ronald E. Smith of Warwick, NY, a retired assistant director for the Orange County Consumer Affairs Weights & Measures Department, entered into rest on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at St. Anthony Community Hospital, Warwick. He was 69.
The son of the late Charles Smith & Charlotte Weslowski Smith, he was born on March 3, 1944 in Warwick, NY.
He was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Smith; son, Kevin Smith of Florida, NY & two grandsons, Kevin & Craig Smith.
He was predeceased by his brother Thomas Smith.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 26th from 2-4 & 7-9PM at the T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 22 Glenmere Avenue, Florida, NY 10921.
Funeral mass will be held 10AM on Friday, September 27th at St. Joseph Church, 20 Glenmere Avenue, Florida, NY 10921.
Burial will be in St. Stephen's Cemetery, Warwick, NY.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Church, 14 Glenmere Avenue, Florida, NY 10921.
