We were blessed to have lived across the street from Monsignor Schultz when he was with St Patrick's Church in Bridgeport, Ct. My favorite nights were those when he would come and sit on the porch in the evening and talk with us. He was a wonderful person, not just our priest but someone to admire in every way. He had a gift with speaking with people in a way which was so pure of heart. Thought he was a priest , it was always like talking to a friend. He did not have to preach...if you spoke with him you would know in an instant this is what God wants us all to be like. I missed him when I moved, as I do now. I smile each time I think of him, and am so thankful I was blessed enough to know this man who was so much more than a friend and humanitarian to everyone he met. He truly inspired people, and was my favorite priest and neighbor ever. Bless you father Schultz and rejoice in heaven. With sincere sympathy to all of his family and friends,

Father Schultz married my husband Marty and me 27 years ago at St Patricks in Bpt. He said the funeral masses for both my parents. He was a thoughful and caring person and a wonderful servant of God! Monsignor Schultz was a wonderful priest & person. He was there for us during our father's passing. He was so humble and generous in his ways. He was there for so many others making sure that everyone received a proper service regardless of their standing in the church. I am sure he is at peace and probably enjoying his eternal lake.

My deepest sympathy on the passing of Monsignor Schultz. He was pastor at St. Augustine, Bridgeport, some years ago and we kept in contact even after he moved to Our Lady of Grace in Stratford as pastor. May he enjoy eternal happiness in heaven after all his years as a dedicated priest.

Monsignor was the most wonderful priest. He was always willing to help anyone in need. He would often go to perform last rites at people's homes even though it was no longer an "official" sacrament. Many times, he didn't even know the family at all. He rarely went on vacation and never took a day off. He told me once that when he became a priest, everyone else's needs came before his. He was truly a priest of the people and I am honored and blessed to count him as a very close friend. I know that he is finally at rest and receiving his eternal reward for all of his good works.

It's always sad to read of a friend's passing but the last few years have been tough ones for Msgr. Schultz so I can be happy for him as he received his eternal reward for the life he lived. He was a very good priest, did countless acts of charity without publicity, was available at any time of day, and despite his sometimes complaining you knew he would do it all over again. He will be missed but never forgotten.

We have many memories of you from the years at St Patrick. The feast, the bingo, your good side job, the list goes on & on and our ever lasting friendship we stayed conected. You were at the bedside of our parents when they past away, along with my sister-in-laws, cousins and friends and when ever you were needed you were there. Giving the last rights to was very important to you. We enjoyed your 50th birthday at our house. I didn't think that our last visit with you would be the last time we'd see you.
