Joseph Kaczmar of Middletown, NY formerly of Goshen, NY, entered into rest on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at home. He was 82. The son of the late John Kaczmar & wife Katherine Frankowska Kaczmar, he was born May 14, 1931 in Warwick, NY. He was a US Army Korean veteran. Survivors include his wife Elizabeth "Betty" Kaczmar; son, Joseph Kaczmar (Susan); 5 daughters, Joann Drake (Joseph); Judith Shuback (Lawrence Gould); Patricia Bernhardsen (Karl); Mary Kaczmar and Lillian Crain. 9 Grandchildren, Stacey Diaz (Jason); Megan Shuback; Amanda Henderson; Candice Crain; Karl Eric Bernhardsen; Brian Kolligs; Connor Kolligs; Molly Bernhardsen and Patrick Kaczmar. 2 Great grandchildren, Leanne Dross & Jason Diaz. 2 sisters, Helen Kaczmar & Eleanor Quall. 4 brothers, John, Steven, Daniel & Robert Kaczmar. Many nieces and nephews and his beloved dog Lucy. Predeceased by 3 sisters, Anna Kirzow, Sophie Johnson & Stella Paul; 4 brothers, Leo, Frank, Henry and Stanley Kaczmar. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 22nd from 2-4 & 7-9PM at the T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 22 Glenmere Avenue, Florida, NY 10921. Funeral Mass will be held 9:30AM on Saturday, November 23rd at St. Joseph Church, Florida, NY. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Florida, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Church, 14 Glenmere Avenue, Florida, NY 10921 or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
