Obituary of Edward V. Labanowski

Edward V. Labanowski of Pine Island, NY, a retired supervisor for John Knox Village in Pompano Beach, FL, entered into rest on Friday, February 07, 2014 in The Valley View Center, Goshen, NY. He was 83. The son of the late Edward W. Labanowski & Anna Hucko Labanowski, he was born on February 19, 1930 in Pine Island, NY. Ed was served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Survivors include his granddaughter, Katie Labanowski of Bremerton, WA; 4 brothers, Patrick Labanowski of Goshen; Richard, Walter and Raymond Labanowski of Pine Island; 5 sisters, Cecelia Jashembowski of Middletown; Lorraine Andryshak of Goshen; Rose Gill of Manchester, VT; Anna Zanger of Houston, TX & Marie Heter of Florida, NY. He was predeceased by his son, Edward V. Labanowski Jr., who recently passed away in January. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 10th from 4-8PM at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 690 County Route# 1, Pine Island, NY. Funeral mass will be held 10AM on Tuesday, February 11th at St. Stanislaus Church, Pine Island, NY. Cremation will follow and burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Stanislaus Church Restoration Fund, 14 Glenmere Avenue, Florida, NY 10921.
