Christopher George Golodich of Slate Hill, NY entered into rest Saturday November 8, 2014. He was 49. The son of George Raymond and Pamela Ann Blake Golodich he was born February 23, 1965 in Spring Valley, NY. He was a 1983 Graduate of North Rockland High School, Stony Point, NY and a Graduate of University of Connecticut, New Britan, CT. with a masters degree in Education. Christopher had an Extra Class Amateur radio license with the call letters of KA2MGI Ham Radio Operator and was a member of Haverstraw Masonic Lodge. He was a Technology teacher at SS Seward Institute where he was also the leader of the Ham Radio Club at the school with the call letters of K2SWD. Survivors include his wife Lauren Thomas Golodich at home; his parents George and Pamela Golodich of West Haverstraw, NY; Stepchildren Tara Foster and her husband Jayson of CA, and Craig Job of Westchester, NY. Visitation will be held on Monday November 10 at T.S. Purta Funeral Home 22 Glenmere Ave. Florida, NY 10921 from 5-9 PM and on Tuesday November 11 From 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Services will be held 11 am on Wednesday November 12 at the funeral home. Rev. Kevin Mulqueen will officiate. Burial will be in Ridgebury Cemetery following the services on Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to Christopher Golodich Scholarship Fund C/O SS Seward Institute 53 North Main Street, Florida, NY.
