Obituary of Edwin B. Sobiech

Edwin B. Sobiech Sr. of Warwick, NY, a self-employed produce grower & shipper, entered into rest on Thursday, November 27, 2014 at home. He was 84. The son of the late Frank Sobiech Sr. & Victoria Bielen Sobiech, he was born on May 11, 1930 in Garfield, NJ. Survivors include his wife, Mary "Jane" Sobiech at home, Warwick, NY; son, Edwin B. Sobiech Jr., daughter in law Susan Sobiech, grandson Brennan Sobiech, granddaughter Olivia Sobiech; Daughter, Tina Marie Svizzero & husband Paul and granddaughter Tania Hammock & husband Tom, grandson Michael Svizzero, grandaughter Gina Bolton & husband Chris, grandson Adam Svizzero & wife Alina,; 3 great grandchildren, Logan & Bailey Hammock; Gavin Bolton; Sister, Jane Jarosz; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was predeceased by 4 brothers, Edward, Frank, Fred & Ted Sobiech; 2 sisters, Jennie Sobiech & Florence Green. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 30th from 4-8PM at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 690 County Route# 1, Pine Island, NY 10969. Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, December 1st at the funeral home. Burial will be St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Pine Island, NY.
