Obituary of Ralph Martucci

Ralph Martucci Sr. of Westtown, NY, entered into Heaven on Sunday, December 7, 2014 at Schervier Pavilion, Warwick. He was 95. The son of the late Eustacchio and Emma Schinnkus Martucci, he was born November 26, 1919 in New York City. He was the devoted husband of the late Marilyn Gertrude Pernot Martucci for 58 years whom he married on November 11, 1950 at Advent Lutheran Church in New York City. He was a WWII US Army Air Corps Veteran. Ralph was retired from NYPD after having served for 32 years. He was President of St. Peters Lutheran Church for 31 years. He had a true love of nature and of all living things. He always shared the word of God and anyone who met him knew they were touched by someone special. He is survived by his daughter, Pamela Giraud & husband William of Wallkill; 2 sons; Ralph Martucci Jr. & wife Debbie of Middletown and Lance Martucci of Westtown; 7 grandchildren; Jason Thompson and his wife Samantha of New Windsor; Brock Thompson of Wallkill; Rachael Quick & husband Logan of Montgomery; R.J. Martucci and wife Kera of Mt. Hope; Michael Martucci and his wife Erin of Westtown; Michelle Vellenga and husband Randy of Slate Hill; & William M. Giraud of Tuxedo; 9 great grandchildren; Charles, Jack and Lucien Quick; Mikayla & Amelia Giraud; Skylar and Layk Vellenga; Sofia and Eliana Martucci. Visitation will be held on Tuesday December 9, 2014 from 6-9 PM at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 690 County Route# 1, Pine Island, NY 10969. Funeral service will be held 11 AM Wednesday, December 10th at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 95 Kings Highway, Warwick, NY 10990. Reverend Kenneth Susskraut and Reverend Peter Rustico will officiate. Interment will be in the Warwick Cemetery, Warwick. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church 95 Kings Highway, Warwick, NY 10990, St. John's Lutheran Church 391 Mt. Hope Rd. Middletown, NY 10940 or to the Humane Society of your choice.
