Obituary of John R. Guerra
John R. Guerra of Warwick, NY entered into Heaven Monday July 23, 2018. He was 17 years old.
He was a senior & honor student at S.S. Seward Institute, Florida, NY.
John loved his fellow classmates and teachers, and they loved & respected him. He enjoyed going out to Buffalo Wild Wings with his many friends.
John’s passion was basketball. He was a wonderful inspiration and role model to his teammates as well his coaches, and was highly respected by his competitors. He enjoyed his large collection of basketball shoes as his friends knew. When it came to basketball he was hardworking, dedicated & humble.
He is survived by his parents Robert M. and Patricia A. Guerra; brothers Nicholas R. and wife Jennifer R. Guerra and Joseph R. Guerra and girlfriend Kathryn G. Warren. He was predeceased by his brother Robert M. Guerra, Jr. He was further survived by his girlfriend, Erika R. Straub, who he loved very much. He was also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who he loved very much. John was met in Heaven by his grandparents.
Visitation will be held on Friday July 27, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 22 Glenmere Ave., Florida, NY.
Funeral mass will be held at 1 PM on Saturday July 28, 2018 at St. Stephen’s Church, 75 Sanfordville Road Warwick, NY.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Florida, NY
