Clara Niesolowski of Middletown, NY, entered into rest on Sunday, March 2, 2014 at home. She was 87. The daughter of the late Alexander & Violet Reiss Niesolowski, she was born on May 15, 1926 in Passaic, NJ. Clara belonged to the Hudson Valley Polonaise Society and the Jimmy Sturr Fan Club. She enjoyed classical country and Polish music and was a lifelong Yankee fan. During the war years, Clara worked for Presto Lock in Garfield, NJ before returning home to be with her family. She was a caring, loving person who even with all her illness was always there for everyone. She will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her sister, Eleanor Hajas of Garfield, NJ; Her beloved niece, Eleanor Rogalski & her husband Joseph of Island Heights, NJ; Grandniece, Eleanore Rogalski of Barnegat, NJ and Aunt Fannie Reiss of Port Jervis, NY; Uncle Chet Niesolowski of Kentucky and extended members of the Reiss, Niesolowski and Ptak families. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 7th from 11am-1pm at the T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 690 Co. Rt#1, Pine Island, NY 10969. A funeral mass will be held 1PM on Friday, March 7th at St. Stanislaus Church, 17 Pulaski Highway, Pine Island, NY. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Pine Island. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Stanislaus Restoration Fund, 14 Glenmere Avenue, Florida, NY 10921 or to Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties, Inc., 800 Stony Brook Court, Newburgh, NY 12550.
