Lois F. Parks of Waldwick, NJ, formerly of Florida, NY, went to be with our Lord on Thursday, April 2, 2015. She was 93.
The daughter of the late Lewis D. & Blanche Houston Parkhurst, she was born on December 21, 1921 in Florida, NY
Lois was a former member of the Wyckoff Baptist Church, and a member of the Woman's Guild at the Old Paramus
Reformed Church in Ridgewood, NJ.
She was a career church organist having served several churches in the area.
Survivors include her 2 sons; Eric Parks & wife Susie of Newburgh, NY; Jay M. Parks & wife Patricia of Branson, MO; 2 grandchildren, Conor Parks & wife Jodi Zimbler & Kathleen Parks of Newburgh, NY; Sister in law Virginia Nelson of Cornwall, NY; Several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Walter Parks and 2 sisters, Margaret Graham & Maud Leary.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 7th from 10AM-12Noon at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 690 County Route# 1, Pine Island, NY 10969.
Funeral services will be held 12noon Tuesday, April 7th at the funeral home. The Reverend Rob Miller will officiate.
Burial will be in Florida Cemetery, Florida, NY
Memorial Contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
