Obituary of Joseph Anthony Payne Sr.

Joseph Anthony Payne Sr. of Warwick, NY, a retired mechanic entered into rest on Tuesday, December 22, 2020.  He was 80.

 

The son of the late John Payne & Philomena Chic Payne, he was born on June 5, 1940 in Paterson, NJ.

 

He was a proud and devoted family man who enjoyed spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.  His passion and dedication for his love of racing was more than just a hobby it was his life. Under the hood, fabricating parts, building a racecar from scratch, his talents were endless.  His passion, passed down to his children and grandchildren, became a family affair that will always carry his legacy.

 

He is survived by his wife, Betty Payne; son, Joseph Payne Jr. & fiancé Kim; son, John Payne & wife Kristie; daughter, Julie-Anne Helmrich & husband Paul; grandchildren, Joey III, Frank, Tiffany, Anthony, Victoria, Paulie & Cash; sister, Phyllis Marfino & husband Dan; sister-in-law, Lilian Payne; along with nieces and nephews.

 

As per his wishes, there will be no services and cremation will be held privately.
