Obituary of Wayne M. DeGroat

Wayne M. DeGroat Jr. of Wurtsboro entered into rest on May 8, 2015, he was 36. He was born on November 28, 1978 in Pompton Plains, New Jersey and was a long time resident of Florida, New York. Wayne was taken from us too soon. He will be remembered for the loving father and companion, dependable brother, adoring son and trustworthy friend that he was. Wayne was sent to us as an angel who could put a smile on any face and could lift any spirit. He was a pure ray of sunshine and will always live on in all of our hearts. Wayne is survived by the Love of his life Dawn Felter and their children Wayne III, Elizabeth and Renee Felter-Rodriguez; his mother Margaret B. Hallas and husband John; Father Wayne M. DeGroat Sr. and longtime companion Dixie; brothers and sister Jason and wife Kelly, Justin, Peggy, Heidi, Jackie and husband Donald, Rick, Stavros and wife Christina along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews & friends. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 from 10AM – 12 noon at T.S. Purta Funeral Home. 22 Glenmere Avenue Florida, New York, 10921. Trisagion will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, May 13 at the funeral home. Reverend Chris Talleos will officiate. Burial to follow at Wallkill Cemetery, Middletown, New York.
