Obituary of Max Smulewicz

On October 24. 2021, Max Smulewicz of Wantage, NJ, completed his journey on earth at the East Orange VA in East Orange, NJ, to join our Lord, his late daughter, Rosanne; his parents, the late Antone & Jennie Mazur Smulewicz; his late sister, Virginia Dziedzic and his late brother, Frank Smulewicz.

 

Max was born on November 01, 1936 in Pine Island, NY, graduated from Warwick HS in Warwick, NY, and served in the US Army in Korea.  He served as a Director of the PLAV 16 in Pine Island at the time of his passing, where his father was a charter member of the Post and his mother, a charter member of the Auxiliary.

 

Max spent his life making people - happy - as the leader of the Max Smulewicz Orchestra and owner/operator of Maxie's Country Meadows Inn in Wantage, NJ.

 

Max is survived by his wife, Ann Trzeciakiewicz Smulewicz; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Dana and grandchildren, Megan and Evan Smulewicz of Sparta, NJ, along with many nieces and nephews. 

 

At this time, there will be no services.  Services will be announced at a future time.

 

It was Max's wish to have the final arrangements of his life overseen by the T. S. Purta Funeral Home.
